This exhibition will consist of still
life paintings by Tania Darashkevich and landscape and figurative
paintings by her husband
Yury.
Tania Darashkevich was born in Priliki,
Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1998. She obtained a degree in
psychology from State University in Leningrad Russia, after which
she was a practicing psychologist for 10 years. Upon arriving in
Canada, Tania changed the focus of her career to art. The crackled
antique finish of her backgrounds refers to Tania's love of the old
Masters including French master Watteau. Tania's style remains
classic and realistic, a reflection of her illustrative training.
